Ravens QB Joe Flacco cleared to play Sunday
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco suffered a concussion after this ugly hit Miami Dolphins linebacker Kiko Alonso laid on him last Thursday.
There had been some question as to whether Flacco would be able to suit up this week against the Tennessee Titans. That has now been answered in full. Flacco has been cleared from the NFL’s concussion protocol and will start in Week 9.

For a Ravens squad that’s coming off a 40-0 drubbing of the Dolphins, this is some relatively big news. Sure Flacco has struggled this season, but he still offers the team the best opportunity to contend in the AFC North.
At 4-4 on the season, Baltimore remains very much alive in the playoff race. Getting Flacco back into the mix will be big moving forward.
