Rob Gronkowski will decide on retirement in the next few weeks
Rob Gronkowski didn’t give reporters any fodder after Super Bowl LII. Like the previous year, he was coy about whether he’d retire or return for one more year. However, he did say that he’d take his time to decide.
Now we have some idea about when that decision could be made.

Gronk’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, appeared on “NFL LIVE†Tuesday and said his client is “thinking it through, he’s giving it a lot of thought,†per Field Yates of ESPN. He then said “I imagine a decision will happen in the next couple of weeks.â€
The 2018 season was a rough one overall for Gronkowski. He played through a bulging disc in his back and painful Achilles tendinitis. As a result, his production was way down overall — Gronk finished the regular season with 47 receptions for 682 yards and just three touchdowns.
However, Rob Gronkowski did perk up for the Patriots’ postseason run, catching 12 passes for 166 yards in the final two games. He was also a key blocker for the team’s dominant run game and remains one of the NFL’s best all-around tight ends.
