Rose Injury Sends Shockwaves Through The NBA Betting World
Late yesterday evening the Chicago Bulls PR department sent out a press release stating that Derrick Rose suffered a medial meniscus in his right knee, the second time in two years he has suffered this injury.
The last time this happened, Rose missed nearly the entire season. He can opt to have the knee repaired in which he could return in six weeks. However, there are not many optimists out their in the Chicago fan base that believe they will see Rose back on the court this season.
Most are now assuming that the Bulls be looking to continue their playoff run without Rose. This team proved it could play at a playoff-level with a much less-talented core group last season. Unfortunately, without Rose no one seems to think of Chicago as championship contenders without Rose considering the juggernaut Atlanta Hawks and the emerging Cleveland Cavilers in the East.
If the endless sports analysts have not convinced you that the basketball world has lost faith in the Bulls, then the quick turn in the Bulls future odds might.
Bettors have turned away from future odds betting on the Bulls, causing their future odds of capturing an NBA Championship down to 20/1. The Bulls had been in or near the top three teams with the best odds to win an NBA Championship all season.
