This move had been reported on Monday by multiple NFL insiders, and it makes sense for both parties.

Winston, the former No. 1 overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft, had significant struggles with turnovers during his five seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 70 starts for the Bucs he completed 1,563-of-2,548 passes (61.3 percent) for 19,737 yards with 121 touchdown passes, 88 interceptions and an 86.9 passer rating.
He finished his tenure in Tampa Bay by setting an NFL record no quarterback ever wanted. As a result, the Bucs replaced him with the GOAT, Tom Brady.
Now in New Orleans, Jameis Winston will have a chance to learn from one of the game’s greatest quarterbacks in a no-pressure environment that could spark a resurgence for him in the years to come.
