Seahawks meeting with Colin Kaepernick
Free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick will take his first visit since hitting free agency in March. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Kaepernick will visit with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday.

This isn’t a surprise. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll had indicated that the team was interested in him earlier in the month.
Kaepernick, a divisive figure stemming from his National Anthem protest last season, has not drawn any real interest on the free agent market since he opted out of his contract earlier in the offseason. That’s despite the fact that he accounted for 18 touchdowns compared to four interceptions in 11 starts for the 49ers last season.
It’s important to note that nothing is imminent here. It seems to be nothing more than a routine visit. Should Kaepernick sign with Seattle, he would act as Russell Wilson’s primary backup.
