The Super Bowl chances of the Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a serious blow on Friday, when the team announced super star wide receiver Antonio Brown has been ruled out for the AFC Divisional Playoff game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

Brown suffered a concussion after being blindsided by Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict during the Steelers dramatic win in the Wild Card round last weekend. Burfict has since been slapped with a three-game suspension for his conduct, though he hopes to get it reduced.

There’s better news for the Seattle Seahawks on the injury front. Although Marshawn Lynch’s status has yet to be officially confirmed by the team, according to ESPN’s Kenny Mayne, the hulking running back sent him a text that indicated he would be returning to the field against the Carolina Panthers.

Beast Mode says he’s ready, a sentiment echoed by The News Tribune, which reported he’s coming off his best practice day since returning to the team last week. Lynch has been inactive for over five weeks since having surgery to repair a hernia in late November.
