Seattle Fans Can Pre-Purchase NHL Tickets
It looks like Seattle is another step closer to establishing an NHL franchise. Nothing is guaranteed, but fans will be able to purchase deposits on season tickets beginning on March 1.
The price of the tickets will range from $500 to $1, 000. The more expensive season tickets are “club season ticketsâ€, which offer a range of benefits, outlined by the Seattle Times.

- Same seat for 41 regular season home games, plus preseason home games
- Playoff ticket priority
- Club season tickets are center ice, lower level with additional benefits:
- Preferred parking
- Private club access
- First priority access to select events at the renovated arena, including potential NBA club season tickets

If Seattle is awarded an NHL franchise, the cost of the season tickets would be announced in 2019. All deposits are refundable and will fans will be reimbursed if Seattle is unsuccessful in its bid for an expansion franchise.
The Oak View Group are behind the drive to bring the NHL to Seattle. Leaders billionaire David Bonderman and filmmaker Jerry Bruckheimer had a $600 million renovation plan for KeyBank Arena approved in December. The group also submitted it’s expansion application to the NHL on February 13.
Seattle, a long-term target for the NHL, would make sense for the league. It would bring the number of teams to an even 32, and add a 6th Pacific time zone team.
The last time the NHL was accepting expansion applications, Las Vegas was the only market to get a franchise, setting up the Vegas Golden Knights. Seattle did not have a suitable arena at this time.
