Sooners Tempting Pick Against Vols
Oklahoma will take on Tennessee at 6 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
This nonconference game is an interesting one for bettors considering the Vols looked off balance last week against Bowling Green and the Sooners are beginning to be mentioned as possible contenders.
The Sooners rolled through Tennessee last season, 34-10 as 21-point favorites. Oklahoma are only short favorites to a pick-em this time around, but many bettors are still going to be tempted to take the Sonners.
Oklahoma are 7-2 against the spread over their last nine nonconference games. However, they are 2-5 against the spread against SEC opponents. Tennessee, though, are a young team that still has a lot to prove.
Trends: Oklahoma is 7-2 ATS in its last nine nonconference games, but 2-5 ATS in its last seven against SEC opponents….OVER is 4-0-1 in Tennessee’s last five home games.
The OVER is set at 64 points. Both of Oklahoma and Tennessee trend toward the OVER and this game should be a high-scoring match. Oklahoma is 7-1-1 on the OVER in it last nine road games.
