Steelers fall to Patriots, lose Antonio Brown in the process
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is in the midst of what could potentially be a history-making season.
Brown entered Week 15’s action having caught 99 passes for 1,509 yards.
There has even been MVP chatter, which itself is an achievement–no wide receiver has ever won the award.
Brown and the Steelers entered Sunday’s game against the defending champion Patriots riding an eight-game winning streak.
Unfortunately for both the star pass catcher and his team, he had to exit in the first half with what originally looked to be foot injury.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Brown actually suffered a calf injury and was taken from the stadium to a local hospital for further evaluation. He did not return.

As for the Steelers, well, unfortunately it ended as most games against the Patriots tend to end for them, though in much more dramatic fashion than we’ve come to expect.
