Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell to skip OTAs again
As expected, Le’Veon Bell is reportedly going to skip Pittsburgh Steelers OTAs, which are voluntary and begin this week on Tuesday, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
The Steelers and Le’Veon Bell remain far apart in their discussions about a long-term contract, and the running back has yet to sign his $14.5 million franchise tag.
Before being hit with the tag for the second year in a row, Bell had threatened to retire if the Steelers used it again in 2018. He has since said he’ll play this season, though he also made it clear that he will not be showing up to training camp (like last year) without a new long-term deal.

Even though he didn’t report until September last season, Bell went on to have a wonderful season with the Steelers, accumulating 1,946 yards and 11 touchdowns from scrimmage in 15 games played.
