Steph Curry will miss at least 3 weeks with knee sprain

In his first game back after suffering an ankle injury, two-time MVP Stephen Curry went down with another injury Friday night against the Hawks.

This time, it was to the knee and caused a bunch of people in Northern California to panic. Just how serious was the injury? Would Curry be back for the Golden State Warriors’ playoff run?

Now, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Golden State received some pretty good news on Saturday. Curry reportedly suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain and will be evaluated again in three weeks.

With about three weeks left in the regular season, this puts Curry in position to return for the start of the playoffs. The same can be said for Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, who are both also sidelined to injury.

Golden State enters this weekend with a 54-18 record and firmly in position to earn the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. There’s no reason to rush any of their three All-Stars back before the end of the regular season.
