Thunder Back Near The Top In Future Odds
Sitting at 12-13 and in the middle of a seven-game win streak (and going 9-1 in their last ten) the Oklahoma City Thunder are back in favor in the sportsbooks, as they have began their climb back toward the top of the future odds.
It is no coincidence that their recent streak of success has coincided with the return of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. The Duo returned late November/early December and have brought their team back into the future odds.
The Thunder have the fourth best odds at winning it all this year over at Bovada with 7/1 odds. However, in a very tough Western Conference, their future odds are only 17/4 to win the west’s biggest prize.
In terms of being back in playoff contention, they still have some work to do. They sit in second place in the Northwest division behind a very talented Portland Trail Blazers squad who are 19-6 overall. With teams like the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies already logging 20 overall wins the Thunder’s work is not done yet, especially considering they still sit below the .500 mark.
The Thunder face their biggest challenge of the season in the Warriors tomorrow. The odds for that game have not yet been unveiled.
With loss fresh in bettors memory, the Chicago Bulls suffered a drop out of the top three in the wake of the Thunders move to the number three spot.
The Bulls took a seven-point loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday as favorites, which contributed to their fall.
