Tigers Go OVER For 19th Consecutive Time
With a 5-4 win against the Seattle Mariners as underdogs, the Detroit Tigers hit the OVER for their 19th straight game.
The total for the game was set at 8 runs. The Tigers looked as though they may take the loss until  Third baseman Nick Castellanos hit a go-ahead sacrifice fly that put the Tigers up and pushed the total to the OVER.
Detroit was excited to get the win and likely isn’t paying attention to their OVER streak, but bettors are excited to lay money down that they will continue their consecutive OVER streak. Sportsbooks, though, are not excited as betting on the OVER in a Tigers game is about as close to a sure thing there is on the books at the moment.
It was back on June 16 when the Tigers last hit the UNDER in a 5-2 loss against the Cincinatti Reds.
Over their last 19 games, only three, including their last game, have hit the OVER on just one run. Normally the Tigers simply crush the total and go way over.
The reason for this OVER streka is not necessarily a positive one. The Tigers have an offense that can hit the ball all day, but their pitchers also allow a lot of runs and their win-loss record shows it. They are 9-10 over their streak.
