Top 3 Odds to Win 2014 World Series

As soon as Baseball wraps up we have to start discussing the future odds as to who will win the World Series next year.  As premature as it seems the day following the finish of the World Series the odds are released.  We have allowed the dust to settle a bit and now we will take a look at the odds to win the 2014 World Series.

Los Angeles Dodgers 7/1

Dodgers

The LA Dodgers are always at the top of the odds.  They found themselves in a similar position in the odds at the beginning of last year.  The Dodgers lost to the St.Louis Cardinals this year in the NLCS.  The Cardinals won the series 4-2.  The Dodgers time has been brewing, but most believe they will need to spend quite a bit more money.  Either way the Dodgers again find themselves at the top of the future odds post-World Series.

Detroit Tigers 9/1

Tigers

The Detroit Tigers fell to the Boston Red Sox in the ALCS four games to two.  The Tigers need to make some improvements during the offseason, namely to the bullpen.  The tigers lack of depth in pitching was on full display in their series with the Red Sox.  The free agency is loaded with great relief pitchers that the Tigers will undoubtedly be looking into.

Boston Red Sox/St. Louis Cardinals 10/1

WorldSeriesFeat

Not surprisingly, the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals find themselves tied with the third best odds to win the World Series in 2o13.  However, they need to tread lightly during the offseason.  The San Francisco Giants, the 2012 World Series winners, decided to not make any changes during the offseason and found that their World Series squad would not hold up during throughout the season and failed to make the playoffs.  The Red Sox and the Cardinals will need to tread lightly during the offseason.
