Trevor Lawrence Holds Pro Day, Jaguars In The Mix
As the dust settles on a Super Bowl between two quarterbacking giants, potential future great Trevor Lawrence lies in wait.
The Clemson Tigers quarterback is holding his Pro Day on Friday, after which he will have minor surgery.
Trevor Lawrence is projected to go first in this years’ NFL Draft. The Jacksonville Jaguars, among others, are sniffing around.
Jacksonville has a new-look staff with new head coach Urban Meyer and new offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell. Meyer, Bevell and passing game coordinator Brian Schottenheimer are all travelling to Clemson to see Trever Lawrence.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are on the market for a quarterback and hold the No.1 pick. Lawrence would add the stardust to the revamped organization, although it doesn’t have a traditional combine to assess him.
“I think for me, it’s just important just to see the ball come out of his hands,†Bevell said.
“I think one of the hardest things to do on tape is be able to tell velocity, and just the way it comes out of his hand. Also want to see the command that he’s going to have — kind of our first opportunity to be able to get him in person. We won’t be able to meet and talk with him like we normally would before or after. So it’s just going to be the workout itself. But excited to watch him throw in person.â€

“Obviously, we’re going to have to do a great job. I think the most important things with the combine is the background and those kinds of things,†Bevell said.Â
“But we’ll have to use all the other stuff at our disposal.â€
Afterwards, Lawrence will have a procedure in his non-throwing shoulder. While he won’t attend the Clemson Pro Day in March, his doctors are confident he’ll be fit in time for training camp.
