Tyreek Hill Returns to Chiefs Team Activities, Subject to T’s & C’s

Despite escaping an NFL ban for domestic-violence related incidents, wide receiver Tyreek Hill will be on thin ice this season.

The controversial Kansas City Chiefs star knew for sure last Friday that he would not be suspended. Following an investigation into Tyreek Hill, the NFL could not conclude that he had violated the league’s personal conduct policy.

Tyreek Hill will be ‘subject to conditions set forth by the District Court, Commissioner Goodell, and the Chiefs’. The conditions include clinical evaluation and theraputic intervention, the league announced on Friday.

The sentiment was echoed by Chiefs coach Andy Reid, who trusts Hill to move forwards now that this is behind him.

“He has some obligations that he’ll take care of as he goes and I’m not going to get into all that,” said Reid.

“… But we’ve all, in particularly to you folks, all read all the statements as we have. We have the trust in Tyreek and we’re going to go forward in a positive way here.”

Reid was sure to address the Hill issue in his first public comments since the news. He pointed the press towards official statement while giving his support to Hill.

“Let’s start about Tyreek. I know that’s a hot topic. The law enforcement side of it, there have been statements made on that. There have been statements made by the Chiefs. There have been statements made by Tyreek and with all those we’re obviously comfortable with Tyreek coming back here,” Reid said.

“So we’re comfortable with Tyreek coming back here. We look forward to bringing him back here and having an opportunity to get back to doing what he loves to do.”

Hill will now be able to return to team related activities. He had been barred since the start of the 2019 NFL Draft.
