Warriors’ Draymond Green Takes A Shot At Cleveland Cavaliers Fans
After crushing the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first three games of the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors fell back down to earth in Game 4 on the road. LeBron James and company were able to avoid elimination with a barrage of three-pointers as they entertained their fans at the Quicken Loans Arena for perhaps the last time this season.
Following the Game 4 loss to the Cavaliers, Draymond Green was asked about the technical foul controversy that left somewhat of a stain on the series between these two teams. Green took the opportunity to take a parting shot at fans of the Cleveland franchise and anyone in the city for that matter, via Pro Basketball Talk:
Q: Did you notice the scorer’s table didn’t announce that the tech wasn’t on you?
Green: No, I don’t pay much attention. I don’t pay much attention to anybody in Cleveland, honestly. Don’t seem to be the sharpest people around. So whatever.
With Game 4 now in the books, both teams are back in the Bay Area in preparation for a Game 5 battle at Oracle Arena in which the Cavaliers will be facing elimination for the second straight time. This is a familiar situation for LeBron’s Cavaliers as they were able to do the seemingly impossible last year against the 73-win Warriors taking full advantage of Green’s suspension.
Although there was a lot of tension and bad blood in the air during Game 4, players and coaches on both teams were able to avoid ejection and or suspension for Game 5 meaning everyone will be ready to go for what will likely be another epic game between these elite teams.
According to Bovada, the Warriors are heavily favored to win it all on Monday in Oakland. Golden State is sporting a -9 point spread on their home floor.
