Warriors Head To Houston
The Golden State Warriors recently had their eight-game winning streak and will look to begin a new streak against the Houston Rockets, who are on a roll of their own with four consecutive home victories.
The Warriors are the best team in the NBA according to the win-loss records. They are 31-6. They are coming off their worst defensive effort of the season, but they have been a solid defense before that, giving up just 96 points a game. Before their loss, they were on an eight game streak where they won by double-digits.
It was the Oklahoma City Thunder  that ended the Warriors string of play in a 127-115 loss in an away game. The Warriors now prepare for their second straight tough road game against the Houston Rockets.
The Rockets also ran into OKC in their last game. They were able to top the Thunder 112-101. James Harden is the NBA scoring leader and showed why by putting up 31 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds.
The Key for the Warriors to beat the Rockets likely lies in stopping Harden. Harden is average over 30 points a game and is shooting over 50 percent from behind the arc in his last six games.
Defensively, the Rockets have been top notch, allowing just around 86 points per game, while winning by an average of 20 points per game.
Houston is looking to avenge a 105-93 loss that they suffered at the hands of the Warriors back on Dec. 10.
The odds are close in this one with the Rockets as favorites by just 2.5 points. The Rockets are 23-17 against the spread this season. In their last six they have covered five times.
Golden State has been very kind to bettors covering in more than 50 percent of their games this season. They are 6-1-1 against the spread in their last eight games.
The total is set at 212. The Warriors sent OVER bettors to the window in their last outing. The Rockets have hit the OVER in four of their last five games.
