World Series Game 6

The San Francisco Giants have been the  favorites to beat the Kansas City Royals in the World Series according to the sports books and currently lead the series 3-2.  The Royals are playing for their playoff lives and tonight they are the favorites to win this game and take the series to Kansas City in Game 7.

The Royals have been playing from the position of the underdog the entire series and playoffs for that matter. The Royals feel like they can win and will win the World Series. In their eyes, it is there time to finally grab the title agin.

The Giants are charging in on a wave of momentum, though, after handedly defeating the Roayals in their three wins this season.

The Royals started the postseason by becoming the first team ever to win eight consecutive games in the playoffs, but that momentum has severely slowed.

The Royals need to use their combination of heavy hitters like Mike Moustakas and Alex Gordon and a nearly unbeatable bullpen, but if any team is going to get the edge on the Royals in the pitching department, it is the Giants.

Jake Peavy is going to take the mound for the Giants. He has been a key part the Giants’ pitching staff. In their most recent game against Peavy, the Royals had four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. Peavy was pulled from the game in the fifth.

Young pitcher Yordano Ventura will start for the Royals. Ventura pitched with 5 1/3 innings only allowing two runs on eight hits with no walks and two strikeouts. He took a no decision in the game.

Game 6 of the World Series is tomorrow with first pitch scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
