World Series Game 6 Betting Preview

WorldSeriesFeat

The next chapter in the 2013 World Series will begin to be written tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX (First pitch to be thrown at 8:07 p.m. ET).  Whether or not this will be the final chapter is up to the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Cardinals wants to force a a decisive Game 7 tonights.  The Boston Red Sox wants to wrap up their World Series saga tonight with a win and avoid a Game 7 all together.

We’re not out of it. I fully believe that our team can go into Boston and win two games. In the postseason, pitching always rules.

-Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright

The pitching matchup will look familiar as it is the same matchup we saw in Game 2 of the World Series.  The Cards will be starting rookie Michael Wacha, while the Red Sox will be starting veteran John Lackey.  Wacha would like a repeat of the game where he picked up the win with two runs on three hits, carrying the game into the sixth inning.

Wacha

Boston’s sluggers will have to adjust to Wachaa this time around if they want to finish up the World Series tonight.  Wacha pitched just fine in his second outing against the LA Dodgers.  However, working in the Red Sox favor is the fact that Wacha is much better when pitching at home.  He posted a 2.15 ERA when at Busch Stadium compared to a 4.34 ERA on the road.

I don’t think anything will be much different.  I try to approach every game the same. I imagine it’s going to be crazy but I’m not going to pay any attention to it.

-Wacha

Lackey

When Lacky pitched in Game 2 he also had a heck of a game.  He allowed just three runs in just over six innings.  He also recorded a scoreless inning in Game 4 of the series.  He also has a history of winning high-pressure World Series games.  Back in 2002 he won Game 7 of the World series against the Angels.

The Red Sox are the favorites in this game.  The have a moneyline -115.  The Cardinals moneyline sits at +105.  Check out the sportsbooks to pick a site to bet on.
