Zion Williamson Favored to Be NBA Draft’s No. 1 Pick

Since videos of his high school dunks went viral, Zion Williamson has been under a basketball microscope and spotlight. The college basketball regular season still has nearly three weeks remaining and the Duke Blue Devils’ forward has yet to declare for the 2019 NBA Draft. However, Williamson can be bet on as the favorite to be drafted No. 1.

Zion Williamson is the overwhelming favorite to go first in the NBA Draft at -2000. That figure equates to winning $1 on a bet of $20.

Next in line is RJ Barrett, a Duke teammate of Zion Williamson with odds of +550. He is followed by Ja Morant at +650 from Murray State and Duke’s Cam Reddish at +2000.

In the past, these types of bets have only been offered by offshore sportsbooks, but New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement has opened up to new wagering and has gaming regulations that are different than those in Nevada. The longest odds, of +10000 are on Romeo Langford, Sekou Dounbouya, Charles Bassey and Jarrett Culver. The NBA Draft is scheduled for June 20 in New York City at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center home of the Brooklyn Nets.

Duke behind its trio of freshmen stars has regained the No. 1 spot in the AP poll as Tennessee was defeated over the weekend by Kentucky. The Blue Devils face a tough game their next time out when they play No. 8 ranked North Carolina.

North Carolina head coach Roy Williams praised the talented Duke freshmen saying that it is very rare that one college team has three players that could all be drafted with the first four or five picks in this June’s NBA Draft.
