Tennessee Titans Have Waived QB Zach Mettenberger
It is no secret that the Marcus Mariota era in Nashville is upon us, but after his standout rookie season the Tennessee Titans have gone all in on the Heisman winner with the announcement that Zach Mettenberger had been released.
To make room for the additions, we waived QB Zach Mettenberger, DE Iosia Iosia, TE Kevin Greene and WR Rashon Ceaser.

Though he spent just two seasons with the Titans, Mettenberger probably doesn’t technically qualify as a bust. Drafted out of LSU in the sixth round in 2014, Mettenberger’s big arm was simply never enough to make up for the other limitations in his game.
He also came into the league with those dreaded character issues that always loom large over him. Although Mettenberger managed to steer clear of run-ins with the law, even his infamously silly selfie feud with Houston Texans’ big man J.J. Watt seemed to be uglier than it was.
Being given the stanky boot is always a blow to the ego, but Mettenberger has show enough flashes, however brief, that he’s certain to find himself on a roster sooner rather than later. After all, the guy is only 24-years-old.
