Raiders and Marshawn Lynch not even close on deal
The latest in the series of news leading up to a possible trade of running back Marshawn Lynch to the Oakland Raiders just got more interesting.
Marshawn Lynch's Seattle deal would pay him $9 mi in 2017. Raiders want to pay him 1/3 that while Lynch is balking at taking less than half.

Reportedly, Lynch and the Raiders do not seem anywhere near agreement on a contract for the 2017 season. While Lynch’s salary with the Seattle Seahawks calls for $9 million in 2017, that’s nothing more than a dollar figure. Seattle would release Lynch before paying him that money.
At this time, the Raiders are reportedly willing to walk away from the idea of Lynch playing in Oakland. And, they want to know exactly what his plans arebefore the NFL Draft begins on Thursday.
It does look like the ball is in Lynch’s court to make a decision. But if he wants to play in Oakland, he certainly cannot command top dollar.
