Johnny Manziel says he’s having comeback “conversations”

Could Johnny Manziel make his NFL return this year? Maybe not, but he’s been talking to a couple of teams about it, according to Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News.

It’s hard to imagine these conversations are anything more than cursory at this point.

While we have been hearing about how Manziel has stopped drinking and is dedicating himself to the game again, his history of bad behavior isn’t exactly one any team will forget easily.

That said, those close to Manziel have been saying he’s really reformed and is dead serious about making his return.

Manziel’s on-field accomplishments at the NFL level aren’t impressive. In 14 career games, he has completed 57 percent of his passes for 1,675 yards with seven touchdowns, seven interceptions and seven fumbles.
