NBA Rumors: Dwyane Wade Expected To Be Bought Out By Bulls
The Chicago Bulls have made some drastic moves this summer. After seemingly endless speculation surrounding the team’s future, the team traded superstar Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves, parted ways with Rajon Rondo and now appear to be moving on from Dwyane Wade.
According to Nick Friedell of ESPN, the Bulls seems to be preparing to buyout Wade.
Dwyane Wade isn’t long for the organization’s future and is expected to reach a buyout agreement at some point in the next few months.
Once Butler was traded to the Timberwolves, the writing was on the wall in Chicago. The team was ready to rebuild and start from scratch with Wade being the odd man out. Dwyane will likely become a free agent before the upcoming season and may elect to join a contender or another team willing to bolster their backcourt with the addition of the three-time NBA champion.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been rumored to be a destination for Wade if he were to be bought out by Chicago. This would reunite Wade with his former teammate LeBron James and could help the team compete with the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors.
Another option for Wade may be with the Houston Rockets. Earlier this summer, the Rockets traded for Chris Paul to pair the point guard with James Harden and to add Wade may be something the team considers to improve their chances of competing in the Western Conference moving forward.
Carmelo Anthony has also been a veteran star rumored to be on the move with the Rockets being a likely destination.
