Antonio Gibson: We’re Gonna Be Something To Deal With

Second-year wide receiver Antonio Gibson believes the Washington Football Team will be a force to be reckoned with next season.

Antonio Gibson was selected in the third round by the Washington Football Team. He played in a mostly poor offense, and was hampered by a turf toe injury.

Barring a 41 points Thanksgiving extravaganza against Dallas, Washington never scored more than 27 points in a game last season.

As well as that, last year’s rookies like Antonio Gibson will be able to have a proper NFL offseason as the Covid-19 pandemic becomes less of a factor.

“This is a time we didn’t have last year so I feel like it’s very helpful,” Gibson said.

“To get a good start and rhythm going into training camp. I’m enjoying this period because I didn’t have this last year, so it’s actually helping me out a lot.”

He will have time to get to know his new offensive teammates, as well. Washington added veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and WR Curtis Samuel in free agency. As well as that, they drafted wideout Dyami Brown to add further variety.

“I’m super excited. Towards the end of [last] year I feel like when I started to get a hold of things, that’s when the injury came along and slowed me down a little bit,” Gibson said.

“This year we picked up a lot of new guys and they can play, they’re showing that out on the field the past few weeks on the offensive side and defensive side.

“We got a lot of weapons, I feel like we got a lot of deep threats and that’s going to do nothing but open it up for me and for the offense,” Gibson said. “I feel like we’re going to be something to deal with.”
