This Week in Fail
With the NFL season winding down we will focus exclusively on the NFL and all the fail boat captains that we have seen this week as well as some failures from throughout the season.
Tony Romo
You did not wake up this morning feeling good if your name is Tony Romo. Romo blew his chance at not only a game winning drive by throwing an interception late in the fourth quarter against the Washington Redskins but he also blew his teams shot at the playoffs.
To add insult to injury, #QBsBetterThanRomo has been trending on Twitter all day where various users have listed Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite, Honey Boo Boo and the guy who threw a shoe at George W. Bush as quarterbacks than Romo.
People are perhaps being a little tough on Romo, but you cannot argue that Romo did what everyone criticizes him for doing during this game: He choked under pressure and blew the game.
Michael Vick and Mark Sanchez
Romo’s prime time failure has taken attention away from two other quarterbacks who equally deserve to be trending on twitter for their poor performances.
Two words simply summarize Mark Shanchez’s season:Â Butt Fumble.
Michael Vick had a lack luster season. I still imagine that some other team will give him a chance to play again. In fact, he could replace Sanchez.
New York Giants
We cannot exclude the defending Super Bowl Champions who did not even make the playoffs this year from this list. The NFC East division came down to the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys with the New York Giants no where in sight.
The Giants let the rest of the division pass them by when early in the season it seemed like they had it on lock. Maybe next year, I guess.
