This Week in Fail

This week’s ‘This Week in Fail” blog has me excited, because their has been so much controversy/failure in the world of sports this week that we cannot really cover at BettingSports because our main focus is on the sports betting, duh.  However, with this blog I got to discuss the failings of a few athletes that have been in the news recently that I have been anxious to write about.  Let’s get started shall we?

Lance Armstrong

Wow, it has become really easy to hate this guy over the last couple of days.

Lance Armstrong sat down with Oprah Winfrey to do a three hour interview that aired this week.  In the interview he admitted to taking several different types of performance enhancing drugs.  Which would normally get him a medal for honesty.  The problem is that in the past he had financially ruined people who have accused him of “doping.”

During the interview, he never mentioned any specifics.  The reason for that is, from what I hear from the law experts on the tele, is so he can avoid any law suites or persecution.

So, instead of looking like a brave man for admitting his wrong doing he managed to make himself look like an even bigger jerk.  Armstrong is not just one of the biggest failures of the week, but he is also one of the biggest failures of all time.

Manti Te’o

Watching this completely insane story unfold has been fun watch.  Regardless of if you believe Manti Te’o was in on the hoax or not, you have to admit that he has a rightful place on this list of failures.

If he was in on the hoax of his pretend girlfriend dying of pretend cancer, then he is a truly low individual who will stop at nothing for attention.  If he was not in on it and was fooled by this, then he is the most gullible person alive and fails for buying into a girl that he never met that turns out to never even exist.

LA Lakers

The Lakers return to this list after being absent from it for a couple of week, but this week they failed pretty hard.
The Lakers got all our hopes up by winning two in a row.  They then went up against the Miami Heat.  If the Lakers won it would mark the moment of when the Lakers turned it around in 2013.  They lost, however, is a pretty decisive game.  Proving that the Lakers still do not quite have it together.
