All-Star Game Betting Preview
The NBA All-Star Game is tonight, and while the game is all in fun it is still very competitive and worth laying money on since it is a slow sports Sunday.
This year’s All-Star game has a stacked roster, though a few stars voted in by fans like Carmelo Anthony, Jimmy Butler and Blake Griffin will be sitting out with injuries.
The East won last year, though the West had won the three previous year and are looking to go 4-1 0ver the last five year.
The West are the -4.5 favorites to win this one according to the line. The total is set at 301 points.
The game totals and teams are not the only thing you can bet on. Bovada has All-Star MVP odds posted, as well. Check them out below:
- Stephen Curry (West):Â 13/4
- LeBron James (East): 7/2
- Kevin Durant (West):Â 7/2
- James Harden (West):Â 11/2
- Carmelo Anthony (East): 6/1
Stephen Curry is the clear front-runner to win the All-Star MVP. He dominated in the three-point shootout yesterday, is among the favorites to win the end of the year league MVP award and the Golden State Warriors have the best record in the NBA thanks in large part to Curry. Also, with Warriors coach Steve Kerr on the sidelines, Curry will be in a familiar work environment.
Another interesting note from this year’s All-Star Game is Pau Gasol and Marc Gasol will become the first pair of brothers in NBA history to start in the same All-Star Game. Each have appeared in the All-Star game before but this is the first time they have both been selected as starters at the same time.
The All-Star game is tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET on TNT.
