2019 NBA MVP Odds: New Favorite

The last several years the the MVP has seen usual names. There is a new favorite in the 2019 NBA MVP odds.

The last two years, James Harden and Russell Westbrook have won the MVP award. Other than that LeBron James and Stephen Curry have dominated the MVP award since 2008-09, with with a Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant sprinkled in. This season Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks is making waves.

Antokounmpo  is averaging 26.6 points per game and 13.2 rebounds. He has been integral in leading the Bucks to becoming one of the big teams in the Eastern Conference, currently 19-9, the second best record in the Conference.

Last year’s MVP was James Harden. Harden is at 12/1 currently. He leads in points per game in the NBA at 30.9 points. He could easily rise in the ranks if he can get the Rockets to take off, who are off to a slow start.

LeBron James is always among the favorites in MVP talks. This is his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers. He is averaging 28.2 points per game. If he does lead LA to big things, he could win his fifth career MVP award.
