Andrew Bogut to Return to the Warriors Soon
Australian NBA veteran Andrew Bogut looks set for a return to his former team, the Golden State Warriors.
As reported on Monday, a number of NBA teams were looking at Bogut as an option for the postseason.
Due to their Australian contingent, the Philadelphia 76ers were mooted as a possible destination for Andrew Bogut. However, it seems that the draw of the team he helped turn into a powerhouse was too strong.
On Monday, nobody was admitting to being in talks with Andrew Bogut. On Tuesday, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said that the deal is “about to happenâ€.

One player who helped Bogut take the Warriors to the 2015 NBA Title, Stephen Curry, is happy he’s coming back.
“It’s exciting, weird, a blast from the past; all that combined,” Curry said.
“Obviously I know they’ve got a few more steps before it’s official but he’s a guy that we have a lot of experience with. He knows our system. He knows how we do things around here.â€
The Warriors have grown into the NBA’s dominant force since Bogut’s hayday. However, his contribution clearly hasn’t been forgotten by Curry and others.
“He was instrumental in that turnaround to become a championship-calibre team,†Curry said.
All that remains now is for the Sydney Kings to approve Bogut’s move back to the NBA. Coach Andrew Gaze is on record saying that the club’s policy is not to stand in the way of players who want to go to the NBA.

“When his name came up I thought it was one-sided,” Curry said.
“Like ‘we’re familiar with him, we like him, let’s call him to see if he’s interested. I didn’t get the mutual vibe and now it’s about to happen so it’s pretty cool.”
