Angels Struggles To Get Past A’s Continues Against Orioles

Last week, the Los Angeles Angels had the opportunity to take the No. 1 spot in their division, by beating the No. 1 team in their division, the Oakland Athletics. Now they will look to gain some ground against the A’s as they ope up a series against the Baltimore Orioles.

This is going to be familiar series for the Angles, though. They wrapped up a game with Baltimore last Wednesday. They won that match up 3-2. They are currently 1.5 games behind the A’s and will be looking to close that gap with this series. However, that will be easier said than done as the No. 1 team in the AL East are not going to simply lie down while the Angels try to steam roll them at home.

The Orioles are 6-4 on their last ten games, and conditions will be perfect at home for the team to gain a little redemption against a team that barely got past them on Wednesday.

The Angels will be sending the excellent Jered Weaver to the mound to kick off this series. Weaver is 11-6 and has 3.36 ERA. In his last three starts he is 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA with a 17-5 strikeout to walk ratio. It was Weaver that helped his club get the win over Baltimore on Wednesday by pitching eight innings.  Weaver will put LA in the best possible position to get this series started off on  a strong note.

The Orioles will counter with Chris Tillman. Tillman is similar roll to Weaver. Tillman has turned in four consecutive quality starts. In his last outing he allowed just one earned run over six innings. He allowed fie hit and two walks in that game, which came down to a no decision.

The Angels are the favorites to win this one with a -120 moneyline. To bet on Baltimore the moneyline is set at +110.
