Cincinnati @ Louisville Preview

NCAA1

Tonight there is a showdown for two ranked teams as the Cincinnati Bearcats head to Kentucky to take on the Louisville Cardinals. Both teams are on a roll heading into this game and both teams will be looking to make a big statement both in their division and on a national stage.

Cincinnati is 8-0 in the ACC and No. 13 in the Nation. They are on an impressive 12-game winning streak. However, the stars may be aligning for Louisville to hand the Bearcats their first AAC loss.

Louisville is going to have home court advantage in this one. Thee No. 12 ranked team is also on a winning streak of their own, winning four in a row. The Bearscats may also have to go into this game without their best defensive player, as forward Justin Jackson may sit out the game.

Jackson injured his ankle during the Bearcats hard fought victory against Temple and Cincinnati is most likely going to be without its leading shot blocker and rebounder.

David Nyarsuk is penned in to take Jackson’s place if he can’t play or is limited.  However, Nyarsuk, who often finds himself in foul trouble, will have some shoes he is unlikely to fill.

Meanwhile, Louisville plans to be firing on all cylinders as they look to close in on their AAC rivals. They sit at 6-1 in the division compared to the Bearcats 8-0.

Louisville has been holding AAC opponents to less than 37 percent shooting and as forced an average of 16 turnovers a game.  Those are some impressive defensive stats.

On offense Louisville is also doing well. They have three or four players hit double digits in their last few games and have been getting offensive production all over the court.

Louisville is the -9 point favorites to win this game according to the point spread over at Bovada. The games starts at 7 p.m. ET and you can watch it on ESPN.
