Cowboys Keep Winning, Seahawks Look Dominate Again
The Dallas Cowboys continued their crusade of proving their detractors wrong yesterday by dominating the Indianapolis Colts, 42-7.
The Cowboys did not simply beat down a Tennessee Titans-like team, they delivered the smakdown to a team that is a seriously playoff contender.
Everyone has an off night, but this was an exceptionally off night for the Colts. Franchise quarterback, Andrew Luck was benched in the third quarter and for a team that has already clinched a playoff berth that is not a good sign.
In short, Luck has to got pull himself out of this slump if his team is going to legitimately compete.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, have clinched their division with style. They have secured at least one playoff home game and their offense is a face to be reckoned with. They have won three consecutive games and are red hot at the best time a team can be.
They will now close their season in a relatively meaningless game but this is far from a meaningless team.
The Cowboys will get some NFC competition in the Seattle Seahawks who have clinched their division, as well, and will look to grab the No. 1 seed next week.
After stumbling a bit mid-season, the Seahawks look to be back in Super Bowl-caliber shape. They have 11/4 odds to win he Super Bowl in fact, better than any other NFL team.
The Arizona Cardinals were as looked at as pretenders. However, their talent is undeniable even if they lack a big-time quarterback. The question is can a team really contend for a Super Bowl title without one?
