Dallas Needs Win Against Seattle to Stay Close in NFC East

Week 8 action in the NFL continues on Sunday when the Seattle Seahawks visit the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for an NFC showdown. The current line has Seattle favored by 4.5 points with the over/under point total sitting on 41.5.

Seattle entering this game has an overall record on the season of 3-4 straight up and 2-4 against the spread. The Seahawks on the road are 1-3 SU and 1-2 ATS. Dallas coming into this game has an overall record of 2-4 SU and 1-5 ATS. The Cowboys at home are 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS.

Dallas enters this game having lost four straight games since Tony Romo their starting quarterback suffered a broken clavicle. Dez Bryant has been sidelined since Week 1 for Dallas, but the talented wide receiver should be in the lineup on Sunday against Seattle.

Seattle cannot hold onto leads this season. The Seahawks have squandered the lead during the fourth quarter in all four of their losses. Last week however, Seattle shutdown the offense for San Francisco en route to a 20-3 win on the road.

Of Seattle’s four losses three are to the likes of Carolina, Cincinnati and Green Bay of which all are currently undefeated on the season, with combined records of 18-0.

Marshawn Lynch rushed last week for 122 yards, while the Seattle defense suffocated the offensive effort of the 49ers.

Russell Wilson the Seattle starting quarterback has 8 touchdown passes and 5 interceptions. However, he has been sacked 31 times, which leads the league.

Matt Cassel will start again on Sunday for Dallas. Last week the Cowboys lost to the New York Giants 27-20. Cassel had three interceptions in the game, of which one was returned for a touchdown.

Jason Witten could be a big target for Cassel, Seattle’s defense has had problems covering tight ends all season. Darren McFadden rushed for 152 yards last week for Dallas.

Seattle is 20-6 in games prior to their bye week, which is the best in the NFL.

The UNDER has cashed in 5 of the past 7 games between the two teams. Seattle is 2-6 against the spread in the past 8 games versus Dallas.

Dallas needs to start winning or else their season will be over before Tony Romo can return. At 2-4, the Cowboys cannot afford another loss, as NFC East rivals the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles look to extend their leads at the top of the division.
