Daniel Jones Breaks Record In Long Awaited Giants Win

The New York Giants ended their eleven-year wait for a postseason win on Sunday and quarterback Daniel Jones starred.

Daniel Jones completed 24-of-35 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns and ran for an extra 78 yards.

The run game from Daniel Jones would prove crucial in the 31-24 win. The Giants had big leads at various points, but the Vikings brought it back to 24-24 in the final quarter.

Jones became the first quarterback in playoff history to produce 300 + passing yards as well as two + passing TDs and 70 + yards rushing in a postseason game.

“I’ve said it all year,” coach Brian Daboll told reporters after the game. “He’s been good for us. He continues to be good for us. And he played a good game. I think there’s a lot of other people that played good games too to help him play a good game. He’ll be the first to admit it. As the leader of our football team, I’m proud of him.”

“I just kind of felt it as the game unfolded and took advantage of some of those opportunities,” Jones said. “I thought the guys up front did a really good job with the pass rush and opening up some lanes. A lot of credit to them.”

The New York Giants must now contend with the No.1 seeded Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round next weekend.

“We’re excited,” Jones continued. “You know, we’ll keep going. We’ve got a lot ahead of us. It’s been fun so far.”
