Julio Jones Reports To Falcons Training Camp Absent Extension
Atlanta Falcons superstar wide receiver Julio Jones is not planning a training camp holdout, despite not receiving a contract extension.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported early Sunday morning that Jones will report when camp opens, noting Falcons owner Arthur Blank “has said he wants to reward Jones.â€

Recently, Julio Jones himself made it clear he takes Blank at his word on this matter and said he would not be holding out. So, it sounds like everything is status quo for the Falcons’ top offensive weapon.
till, given the way things have been trending around the NFL for superstars seeking new deals, it’s notable that a player of Jones’ stature would put so much faith in his team to get a deal done.
Jones’ current deal pays him $13.46 million in 2019 and $12.89 million in 2020.
While substantial sums, they are nowhere near what the other top receivers have landed in new deals with their respective clubs.
