Early Odds for Top Matches at UFC 157 and 158
UFC 157 is at at the end of this month on Feb. 23, 2013. UFC 158 is still over a month away but the main event has all ready been set. Therefore, what better time than now to take a look at the early odds for the big match ups coming up over the next couple months.
Ronda Rousey versus Liz Carmouche
This fight is a historic one and will take place at UFC 157 later this month. Not only is it the first women’s fight in the UFC, but it is also the first women’s fight to main event a UFC event. The Women’s Banterweight Title is also on the line. Most believe that Carmouche is simply being fed to Rousey, so Rousey can show case her talents on a grand stage. Carmouche will be going into this fight with a huge chip on her shoulder and the huge under dog.
The money line to bet on Rousey is at -1050, while is is +800 money line to bet on Carmouche.
Georges St-Pierre versus Nick Diaz
This fight is still a couple months off at UFC 158. Regardless, buzz is all ready starting to grow about this one. Anytime St-Pierre steps into the octagon is is a big deal.  It will be Nick Diaz’s turn to try and stop the seemingly unstoppable Welterweight Champion. Diaz is going into this fight as the underdog, but do not count him out too much as he has a devastating arm bar and can swing punches with the best of them.
The money line to bet on St-Pierre is at -450. To bet on Diaz, the money line is at +375.
Lyoto Machida versus Dan Henderson
This fight has major title implications. The winner of this bout will likely go on to take on the winner of the Light Heavyweight Title bout between Chael Sonnen and Jon Jones at UFC 159 in April. Dan Henderson will likely be forced out of his comfort zone by Machida. Henderson likes to go for knockouts and the elusive Machida is not going to be easy to land a big punch on.
Machida is the favorite with a -215 money line. To bet on Henderson it is a +185 money line.
