Elgton Jenkins: Winning The Division Is Always The Standard
Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins backs the new generation to be the best in the NFC North.
Elgton Jenkins says their winning mentality remains the same despite the loss of Aaron Rodgers from the locker room. He believes the team’s young core led by quarterback Jordan Love has the ability to maintain the Packers’ high standards.Â
Love enters his first season as a starter, while WRs Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs enter their second year. Elgton Jenkins also expects rookie TE Luke Musgrave and rookie WR Jayden Reed to excel next season.

“When he first got in the league, he wasn’t our starter, but the way that he walked around the locker room, the way that he approached the game, he always approached every game as a starter,” Jenkins said of Love.Â
“Man, I was looking at Luke Musgrave and Jayden Reed a lot. Our weapons, man, they got some serious speed, Jayden and Luke,” Jenkins said.Â
“Just being able to see them out there running and getting vertical up the field, running routes and stuff like that, it really put a smile on my face. I’m ready to see what’s in store for those guys. I feel like the future’s bright for those guys. … Luke Musgrave and Jayden Reed, I’ve got a lot of high expectations for those guys in Year 1, for sure.”

“Winning the division is always the standard,” Jenkins said.Â
“Three NFC North titles, it’s always the standard in our locker room and in our building. We feel like we’re the best team in our division, and we’re gonna go out there every week wherever and show that we are the best team in the division and the best team in the NFC.”
