Gardner Minshew Couldn’t Have Been ‘More Excited’ By Raiders
Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew says joining Las Vegas was his first option after leaving the Indianapolis Colts.
Gardner Minshew played ten games in relief of Aidan O’ Conell last season, earning his first Pro Bowl selection.
The Raiders snapped him up on a two-year contract and the chance to compete for the No.1 spot.

Having spent some time with Antonio Pierce, Gardner Minshew thinks the Raiders head coach is the real deal.
“With AP, everything I’ve heard is incredible,” he said.
“Couldn’t get better reviews, like it doesn’t even sound real. Being around him a little bit, seems legit, which is really exciting. Just being around the guys in the building, everybody is on the same page. Everybody just wants to get better. Everybody wants to win. I think when you do that, you got a chance. No matter what you have going on, no matter who’s on the roster, if everybody’s pulling the same direction I think you’ve got a good chance.
“Fortunately, I think we’ve also got some dudes on the roster. I think we’ve got to bring it together in OTAs, camp, which I know we will, and, man, I’ll take our chances.”

“It was my first option,” Minshew said.
”When we were stacking it up, I think I was their first option. As soon as free agency started, we made the call and that was it. Couldn’t have been easier. I couldn’t have been more excited.”
