Indianapolis Colts Underdogs Heading Into Week 11 Against Atlanta Falcons

The AFC South division may be one of the worst in the NFL this season with the division potentially sporting a losing record heading into the playoffs. Although the play in the AFC South has left something to be desired, one team will still make it into the postseason with the Indianapolis Colts (4-5) and Houston Texans (4-5) being the most likely candidates.

Heading into Week 11, the Colts will be without the face of the franchise with quarterback Andrew Luck on the shelf with multiple injuries. Despite Luck’s absence, Indianapolis does have a formidable backup in Matt Hasselbeck who’ll be looking to improve to 3-0 on the season as the team’s starting gunslinger.

The Colts will go on the road on Sunday with their veteran quarterback leading the way. Indianapolis will face an Atlanta Falcons (6-3) squad that has lost two in a row and is desperately trying to bounce back in order to keep up with the division-leading Carolina Panthers (9-0) in the NFC South.

According to Sportsbook.ag, the Falcons will be favored at home with a -5 point spread. Atlanta is a solid in this game with Indianapolis potentially struggling without Luck under center. Hasselbeck has been a decent backup up to this point, but with the offensive line being paper thin as of late, the veteran could be on his back all day long.

At one point during the 2015 NFL season, the Falcons were considered to be an elite squad in the NFC and potentially a legitimate Super Bowl title contender. The team’s struggles over the last few weeks have been telling, but Matt Ryan and company should come out with the win in Week 11 while covering the spread with relative ease against a shorthanded Colts squad.
