Jrue Holiday Will Bring Physical Element To Milwaukee Bucks

New arrival Jrue Holiday will bring extra grit and steel to the Milwaukee Bucks roster, according to coach Mike Budenholzer.

Jrue Holiday practiced with his new team for the first time on Sunday, coincidentally Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 26th birthday.

Head coach Mike Budenholzer says that Holiday’s natural physicality is already evident, and that it should compliment the Bucks team.

Jrue Holiday says he’s found a settled team with defined roles in Milwaukee, and aims to hit the ground running.

“Even though it’s our first practice, you just see a physicality that Jrue brings to the defensive end of the court and really the offensive end of the court,” said Mike Budenholzer.

“There’s a few plays to me that stand out from today where there’s just a physicality that’s a part of Jrue’s game. It comes naturally.”

Jrue Holiday feels he can help grease the wheels of the Bucks’ game and remarked on meeting their leader, Giannis.

“Just getting to know a lot more about them, I feel like that also can help build chemistry and help speed chemistry up,” Holiday said.

“So just from that point of view, it’s been great and everybody here has been super accepting. Everybody here, I feel like, knows their role, so that also makes it easier.

“Again, for Giannis, he’s a good dude,” Holiday added.

“And you can tell that he’s a good dude and he’s about business, but he’s a family guy who takes care of his people, and that’s why they have him here.”

Antetokounmpo has until 21 December to decide whether or not he’ll sign a supermax extension with the Bucks. For his birthday, his teammates got him some pens as a present, hoping to nudge him in the right direction.
