Melvin Gordon expected to end holdout, rejoin Chargers Thursday
The Los Angeles Chargers will be getting one of their top offensive players back soon in the shape of Melvin Gordon.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that two-time Pro Bowl running back Melvin Gordon will end his holdout and report to the Chargers’ facility on Thursday.
Sources: The holdout is ending. #Chargers RB Melvin Gordon is, in fact, reporting to the team tomorrow. He won’t play this week, but he is planning to be back in the fold with his teammates.

Melvin Gordon held out throughout training camp, the preseason and each of Los Angeles’ first three games. His camp demanded an extension or to be traded.
However, the 26-year-old back had to report at some point soon in order to accrue a season and become a free agent next March. He’s now decided to do that.
At 1-2 on the season, the Chargers couldn’t be happier to get Gordon back. He’s combined for 4,372 total yards and 38 touchdowns over the past three years.
