Previous reports suggested Lillard held a strong interest in playing for Team USA. Meanwhile, Green’s commitment shouldn’t come as much of a surprise given the opportunity it presents ahead.

Two-time league MVP Stephen Curry is reportedly a “50-50” split on playing in the Olympics. LA Clippers star forward Kawhi Leonard also holds interest in committing to playing in Toyko.

Phoenix Suns star guard Chris Paul is reportedly seriously considering playing this upcoming summer.

Team USA already took the significant hit with both LeBron James and Anthony Davis expected to opt-out. The two Los Angeles Lakers stars are recovering from significant injuries.

James may have already been on the fence due to finishing his 18th season. Meanwhile, Davis will use the offseason to focus on his health after an injury-plagued campaign.

As the offseason nears closer, the rest of the Team USA will continue to take shape. Several other prominent players will likely join the mix as the United States looks to grab a fourth straight Olympic gold medal.
