David Fizdale reacts to the Knicks snapping historic losing streak

It has been nothing short of a disappointing season for the New York Knicks that has seen them continue to limp through the year.
It featured the team suffering a franchise-worst 18-game losing streak that pushed them to the bottom of the league in the standings in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks were able to snap that skid on Sunday night after moving past the San Antonio Spurs 130-116, according to ESPN.

“That’s why I really like this group of guys: They get over [a loss] fast, and they get back to work,” Fizdale said. “At some point, you know, the basketball gods will look out for you when you’re doing that. And they just stayed with it and chipped away. We beat a good team tonight.”
It has been a trying season for the franchise that has been filled with more downs than ups at this point in the year. This has featured the Knicks moving their disgruntled superstar forward Kristaps Porzingis while pushing forward with a complete youth movement in the process that has seen plenty of growing pains along the way.

The Knicks may have snapped a franchise-worst stretch, but there should be plenty more struggles ahead for the remainder of the season. New York has spiraled into being one of the worst teams in the NBA. As a result, the team seems destined to finish in the bottom three records in the conference.
That said, this was a minor step in the right direction that has helped end what has been the worst span in Knicks’ history.
