“I’m back, I’m happy to be back,” Irving told reporters. “And we got some great pieces and we just move on and I let my actions and my game speak for itself like I planned on doing. Just needed a pause.”

Brooklyn recently made a blockbuster trade to acquire superstar James Harden from the Houston Rockets. The NBA has been rocked to its core as a result. The Nets are now arguably the team to beat in the Eastern Conference, especially after taking down the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday with solid performances from Harden and Kevin Durant.

Now the Nets will have arguably the most intimidating duo in the NBA with Irving returning to the squad. It remains to be seen if this superstar trio will work for head coach Steve Nash and company, but they’re definitely a force to be reckoned with and have championship aspirations moving forward.

In seven games for the Nets this season, Irving averaged 27.1 points, 6.1 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game. He’s also shooting a career-best 42.6 percent from beyond the arc this season.
