Mavericks willing to trade anyone other than Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis

The Dallas Mavericks have perhaps one of the brightest futures of any NBA franchise right now. This is as a result of the emergence of Luka Doncic as a legitimate superstar.

Luka Doncic is already way ahead of the curve in terms of his development. With him in place, the Mavs brass wants to compete and compete as soon as possible. Doncic could be an NBA MVP candidate for the rest of his career with Dallas ready to build around their new face of the franchise by trading anyone other than Kristaps Porizingis, according to Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News.

Dallas wants to acquire a third star to augment the pairing of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. If that takes adding other teams’ unwanted salaries, so be it.
All — repeat all — Mavericks players not named Doncic or Porzingis are available.
Though they currently own the 18th and 31st picks in the Nov. 18 draft, the Mavericks have a strong desire to trade into the lottery (picks 1-14).

Although Doncic has shown some incredible flashes of his potential and is way ahead of anyone’s predictions, it remains to be seen whether Dallas can build around him and do it quickly.

The Mavs could be one of the more active teams in the NBA with their sights set on being an elite squad next season.
