Nets superstar Kevin Durant expected to commit to Team USA for Tokyo Olympics
The 2020-21 NBA season is over for superstar forward Kevin Durant after the Bucks outlasted the Nets in Game 7 of their playoff series. Now the focus turns to the offseason, with Durant presumably thinking about rest and recovery, but that might not be the case.
Durant put on a show in the playoffs. As a result he proved that he remains one of the best despite his surgically repaired Achilles. He may be looking to continue proving that point during the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Durant could be taking his talents over seasons this summer to represent the red, white and blue.

Many NBA players complained about the short offseason and grueling campaign the majority of the players just went through. However, Team USA could be stacked with talent for the Olympics. Durant is one of many big-name players that will likely be on the Team USA roster. The team also includes Devin Booker, Damian Lillard, Jayson Tatum, Bradley Beal and Draymond Green.

That is already a pretty stacked roster and could get even more starstudded in the coming weeks. Durant would almost certainly be the star attraction for Team USA as he hopes to lead this squad to victory, which would be the fourth team he’s won a gold medal.
It’ll be a quick turnaround for Kevin Durant and company as the Olympics are set to get underway in Tokyo on July 23.
