Bills newcomer Corey Coleman says he has something to ‘prove’ after being traded

The Cleveland Browns made the surprising move on Monday morning with the trade of third-year wide receiver Corey Coleman to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a 2020 seventh round pick.

It has given him a fresh start to his career with a chance to make a significant impact in Buffalo. With that in mind, he has quickly taken to Instagram to post a personal motivational message for his doubter, via Mike Rodak of ESPN.

“I got some s— to prove,” read the caption of the photo.

Coleman has struggled to stay on the field in his first two seasons in the league missing 13 total games due to a pair of broken hand injuries. It has limited the amount of impact that has he has been able to make on the field in brief time with the Browns.

In the 2017 campaign, he played just nine games where he recorded 23 catches on 56 targets for 305 receiving yards. In addition, he had two touchdowns. This included topping 50 receiving yards four times while hauling at least five catches on four instances. In total, he has 56 career catches for 718 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

The 24-year-old has the chance to secure a prominent role in the offense with the Bills that could see him form a formidable duo in the passing game alongside Kelvin Benjamin. This could be an opportunity to also prove that he’s past the previous injury problems that have prevented him from playing in more than 10 games in any of his first two seasons.
