Brandon Aiyuk Makes Feelings on 49ers Crystal Clear With Fiery Quote
As the offseason moves along, the San Francisco 49ers continue to deal with the ongoing dilemma involving wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who remains away from the team.
Aiyuk hasn’t shied away from speaking his mind on social media about his sentiment toward the organization. In a recent YouTube video post, he claimed that his former agent has influence on his standing with 49ers general manager John Lynch.
The 28-year-old has made it crystal clear that his relationship with San Francisco can’t be repaired and that he won’t be returning to the team’s facilities.
“We is not cool,” Aiyuk said. “We won’t be cool, and I will never be stepping in that building” outside of Oct. 19, a reference to when the 49ers host the Washington Commanders on “Monday Night Football.”
It’s quite evident that Aiyuk wants out of the 49ers, but there hasn’t been any progress made toward finding an amicable exit plan for him. Instead, it’s become a lingering situation that keeps him away from the team and has him posting videos on social media venting about the organization and his strong desire to play for the Washington Commanders.

Although he has a chosen team to play for, his actions of staying away from the team have only made it more difficult for the Commanders, or any other team, to be confident that they would be acquiring a player who is committed to playing football.
It’s a rough situation with many things that need to be worked out before Aiyuk has another NFL home.
